Regular one-to-one tutoring provides ongoing support for students studying IB Mathematics or preparing to enter the IB Diploma Programme.
The purpose of Regular Sessions is to help students understand the mathematics they are currently studying, address gaps in knowledge and develop the skills needed to become more confident and independent mathematicians.
Who are the sessions for?
Regular tutoring is available for students taking:
- Mathematics: Analysis and Approaches (AA) HL
- Mathematics: Analysis and Approaches (AA) SL
- Mathematics: Applications and Interpretation (AI) HL
- Mathematics: Applications and Interpretation (AI) SL
- Pre-IB / Pre-DP Mathematics
Students normally work with the same tutor over time, allowing the tutor to become familiar with their strengths, areas of difficulty and progress.
What can we work on?
Sessions are adapted to the individual student and may include:
- understanding topics currently covered at school,
- addressing gaps in mathematical knowledge,
- working through challenging problems,
- homework support,
- preparation for school tests and assessments,
- developing mathematical notation and communication,
- improving graphing-calculator skills,
- revising previously studied topics,
- strengthening mathematical foundations,
- building confidence and independent problem-solving skills.
The emphasis is on understanding the mathematics, not simply completing individual questions.
Regular Sessions are different from our dedicated Exam Preparation service. While examination questions may naturally form part of regular tutoring, these sessions focus primarily on ongoing learning, understanding and long-term progress, rather than intensive preparation for a specific examination.
Session Length
All sessions take place online and one-to-one.
55-minute sessions
Suitable for regular weekly tutoring and focused work on one or two areas.
90-minute sessions
Suitable for students who prefer a longer session, need more extensive support or want more time for deeper problem solving.
Students are encouraged to send relevant questions, topics or materials to their tutor before the session whenever possible.

Intro Session
A reduced-price first session is available when a student works with a Student Tutor for the first time.
It gives the student an opportunity to experience a full tutoring session, discuss their needs and decide whether the tutor is a good match.

RECOMMENDED FOR ONGOING TUTORING
Regular Programme
Our main option for students who want consistent, ongoing support throughout their mathematics course.

Student Tutors and Experienced Teachers
Our Student Tutors are carefully selected former IB students who achieved excellent results in IB Mathematics HL and are now studying mathematics or mathematically related subjects at university.
Experienced Teachers bring professional teaching experience and may be particularly suitable for students who need more structured academic support or who prefer to work with an experienced IB Mathematics teacher.
Pre-IB Students
Regular Sessions are also available for students preparing to enter the IB Diploma Programme.
These sessions can be used to:
- strengthen important mathematical foundations,
- identify and address gaps before beginning the DP,
- develop algebraic and problem-solving skills,
- prepare for the increased demands of IB Mathematics,
- discuss the differences between AA and AI and between Standard and Higher Level where appropriate.
